Taking approximately Five hours we will trek to Ghandruk after driving to Nayapul (42 km) via a private vehicle today. This is the first day of our trek and we will have short and easy walk. We will pass through the well-off village named Birethanti setting on the union point of the Burundi and Modi River. Here, we will notice a number of tea houses and shops. Walking all the way through farming Terrace Syaulibazzar we then climb gradually up beside the valley to reach Kimche lying at the height of 1,595 m. With a short ascend from Kimche, we will reach Ghandruk. Overnight at guesthouse.
In Ghandruk, we get to enjoy astonishing views of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Annapurna South, and Hiunchuli Mountains. What a personal changing trek it turned out to be! Trekking at it’s the best, stunning and peaceful, with the pinnacle the trek up to Base Camp with the splendid panorama mountain views. This was such an incredible experience! It is so difficult to describe just how majestic and breathtaking the Himalayas really are. Every single day of the trek I found myself humbled by the scale and beauty of the mountains. Step By Step Treks Company absolutely outdid themselves in terms of providing us with a trek that was organized, safe, fun, and most importantly, successful in making it up to Everest Base Camp! Our guide Anil was friendly and knowledgeable with well known the area, and our porter Santosh was such a gentle and kind smile man. They both helped make our trip so easy and extraordinary special. I'm so pleased that I booked this trek through this company. I think it's really important to support the local community by using a guide and Step By Step had provided a comprehensive end-to-end package that gave me total peace of mind through the entire trip within free of a hassle. Also, the value I got for my money was well beyond expectations. In fact, I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them as the first choice or using them again myself.

Adventure to Khopra Ridge was an amazing experience! It is off the beaten path that we have been looking for, and it is what we experience! Not crowded at all. We felt like we had the mountains to ourselves. The trek was mix up strenuous, make no mistake. But we expected that, and were delighted to challenge ourselves...and make it! The most incredible journey we have made up to explored hidden lake over the ridge of Kopra. Stunning icy crystal frozen water and reflected the snow-capped mountain was just an unbelievable experience. We had the very best guide in all of Nepal: Syam. He was young but very experienced in the area and things. He started over a decade ago with Step By Step Company as a porter and is an accomplished, professional guide. He spoke excellent English and his knowledge of the terrain, culture, mountains, flowers, trees...was exhaustive. We also had the very best porter in all Nepal: Vheem. He had an infectious smile and was such a great encouragement. Bastardi...Bistarai(Slowly.. Slowly) , you can do it! We are Lucky to choose Step By Step Company very deliberately. In fact, we wanted a Nepalese owned company. Everyone at Step By Step was super. They arranged every detail and everything went smoothly, from airport pick up to departure. We would definitely recommend Step By Step. If you want a great Nepal experience, with a Nepalese company, they are the company for you! Thank You Krishna & Your teammates! I hope to return and see you all again

Originally booked on the Annapurna Sanctuary trek, as the first trek of the new season this got changed due to the danger of avalanches on the original route, so we were rescheduled to walk the Khopra Ridge. This proved an excellent alternative. Considering the time of year the weather was kind to us, not much to see in a snowstorm, but that only added to the adventure. The walking was tough, the terrain unrelenting, the snowdrifts in parts deep, but the views stunning. Across over Muldai's viewpoint and the hidden lake is what we have noted the most highlight of the trip. It was constant amazement considering where we were trekking, as to how well fed we were, the food was wholesome, well-cooked, and in large proportions. A real battle to burn it off the next day. As a small group, 5 clients and 3 staff we managed to crack on, to get the walks done easily within the expected times, this may not be so with a larger group. Being a smaller group we also had more room in the tea houses. The fact we all got on well and had a good group leader and support staff made this a very enjoyable trip. Really glad to have done this, and walked in the Himalayas at last. Would recommend

Krishna, the owner of Step by step was very frank with me and took the extra time to guide us away from the tourist circuits and organize an amazing experience. We spent the trip to Kopra with Krishna's experienced guide Shyam. He did a great job and even brought us to a remote village where we were welcomed with a traditional ceremony, singing, dancing and lots of fun. Thanks, Krishna!

Wandered into Krishna’s office in Pokhara and was looking for help planning a trek. With Krishna's knowledge, he set up a fantastic trek off the beaten path. Shyam a very experienced guide provided excellent knowledge of the trails and places to stay. I had a really authentic experience staying in some smaller places in amazing locations. We we did 3 major climbs to Mardi Himal, Hidden Lake and Khayer Lake out of Kophra. The views were simply stunning and I couldn’t of asked for a better experience

I want to thank Krishna for organizing this trek and for the excellent service he gave including after the trek. I found the whole experience very rewarding and the Guide, Sam was exceptional and very knowledgeable. I recommend this agency, no question, and am impressed with the routes and trails that are put together. A lot of care and consideration goes into the well being of clients and I felt very safe, even when the trekking was demanding.
